To work safely, the fireplace or stove must be completely cool. Therefore, we ask that you not use your appliance 24 hours before our visit. We also ask that you clear the area around your fireplace to give us at least five to six feet of work space. This is because of the size of the equipment we need to use to sweep your chimney. You should remove any breakable and precious items from the room, to make sure they do not get accidentally damaged. We will lay down drop cloths on the floor in front of your hearth. Doing so will protect it from soot, creosote, and other dirt and debris.
